O OK THX.

Also how do you get that 5 points?
I got it too. We should figure out between all of us what the minimum times are for each level. I was sure I could do level 9 sub-2min, but it didn't pan out.

I'm going to make a list of the best times we have between the three of us so far, to see what we can get down to. I'll bet the game can be finished in under 18 minutes.
1. 1:24 (KingExodus)
2. 1:47 (Godliest)
3. 2:05 (chris-marks)
4. 1:35 (Godliest)
5. 1:14 (Godliest)
6. 1:58 (KingExodus)
7. 3:40 (chris-marks)
8. 1:48 (Godliest)
9. 2:05 (chris-marks)
Total so far: 17:36
I've only optimized my times for 1, 7 and 9, so if I come back to this I may be able to provide faster times on other levels. But for right now I'm done.

Here, add my times. I think I only have two or three beat.

Every little bit helps. New times:

4. 1:26 (SpiffyMasta)

7. 3:40 (chris-marks)
8. 1:48 (Godliest)
9. 2:05 (chris-marks)

I'll bet we can have it under 17:00 by the end of Thursday

I am guessing that you were "confused" too?I mean, come on, most of the jokes were rather...wierd, but that meme video compilation was epic....
As for the new game, it's definitely not my cup of tea, so l'll wait for a video walkthrough...

The best I can do on this level is 1:35, and I can't see any room for improvement. I'm already flying up through the obstacle course as quickly as possible at the beginning, what super-secret trick are you guys using to get times this low?

The whole game in under 19 minutes? I guess I will leave this for another time. My total time is like 35 minutes.
New time for level 6. I think 1:41 is possible with a bit of luck, but 1:42 is the best I've done.

Trust me when I say if you play the same level 3 or 4 times in a row, your time will drop substantially. My first run of level 7 took 11:21, longer than all previous levels combined at that time, and now it's down to 3:40. Stick with it for just a little bit, and your times will get significantly better, extremely quickly.

Yeah, well I think it takes more than just skill. Because for 2 levels, I went start to finish without stopping or messing up, and they are still a minute off of your times. So, it's another game that takes a good computer, like 5 minute shooter.

Have you tried reducing the game quality? The developer said in the artist comments that some slower computers will need the quality lowered for smooth play.

Also, there are some things that aren't obvious at first which I didn't figure out right away. Like you don't have to be in a world to use its key. In level 2, for the longest time I was getting the hell key, going over to use it, then coming back to switch back to the normal world and get its key, rather than getting the hell key and immediately switching back to the normal world.
There are also some spots where you can unexpectedly make up time even though it looks like it should be risky, and some things that you think need doing but that are unnecessary. For instance, for the longest time on level 4 I thought that I had to go through the beacon obstacle course twice, which was adding a good 10 seconds to my time. When I figured out that I didn't need to do that, my time dropped right away.
What I'd recommend is spending some time on a level just wandering around, seeing what has to be done and in what order, and seeing if there's anything you can strip from your speed runs. It could just be that you're taking an inefficient route. I'm obviously doing the same on some levels, and I've done the same many times on other levels before figuring it out, so you'll probably find it's worth it.
And also compare your time in different quality settings to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't make a relevant difference, then it's probably your route.

I see a whole lot of people in this thread who really need to get jobs. Or I'm just jealous because my times in Paradox Embracer are horrid.

punk o matic 2?
the first punk o matic was one of the first games i played on newgrounds. i'm very excited
and to keep this post legal in this thread,
...for the zomgiez 100% headshot medal just play through the first level without shooting anyone, just dodging. thats how i got it.

I do play on low quality. And the time passes the same between high and low even though your character is moving slower. Meaning that I could be playing on low quality, but my character could be moving slower than normal without me even knowing it, because I have never seen it move at normal speed on low quality. As for the path thing. On level 1-3, there isn't more than 1 path. On many level there is only one right path.
They were a minute behind your times, or maybe around 30 seconds to a minute. Which is a ridiculous time leap for level 1-3. Considering they are all pretty simple. As I said, I went through without making any mistakes. Which means I hit the right orb and got the right item and everything and never had to go back because I messed up. My times are low, but not low enough. And I did them perfectly.

Although l can't see how you can get medals on a game like that....

Really?But...if you don't get any shots, nevermind HEADshots, then how the heck can you get the medal?
Getting 3 or 4 and then dodging also works fine :P

Apparently the game thinks 0/0 equals 100 percent headshots. Go figure.
I just got it with 1/1 headshots.
And the barrel medal is still set for 10 at a time; I just tried killing 5 with a barrel on level 2 and it didn't work.
For posting times for Paradox Embrace, I think it needs to be in a thread so we can post screencaps to prove our times are what we say they are. Maybe it should be in its own thread though?

Whatever happened to the high score api huh? huh? lol
Yeaa, or just post a screen in your dump, and link to it.
Oh the magic of brilliant new features!!
Sadly, the medals don't seem to be working quite yet. Ah well. I'm sure it'll be fixed in no time.
That was my thinking exactly. Haven't even glanced at the walkthrough, though.
It's a cute little bit of originality, that series. Nice easy-going change of pace.
Yeah I played it for about 5 mins. Looks like a fun game, but nothing I would play twice, so i'm going to wait until medals are activated.
But I agree, nice change of pace. I'll probably have a few beers and enjoy exploring through this game. It will be fun to get medals without having to rage :D
Confirmed at the moment the medals of "Color My Fate" not work

I hear that. I've been spending the last three days on Lastman. I'm surprised my computer's still in one piece.
