I've personally prompted each author with a game with a malfunctioning medal. The majority of the author's with the fixed medal games have responded to me, and xdragonx10 and Dizimz have responded to me with their problems of not being able to fix them. Dizimz couldn't get the fixes he made to render and xdragonx10 is "too busy with his other games at the moment but will test it when he gets a chance. it's low priority on my list (though it is there)".. and that was a long time ago..
Heh, then probably "low priority" means "bottom of the constantly updates list of things to do"...which means never.Yay.
None of the other authors with broken medals have responded to me, which just shows a lack of disrespect or care. Which is understandable, seeing as how the majority of the authors use medals for the sole purpose of attracting a larger crowd and getting more revenue. Some may even purposefully break a medal just so that people keep trying to get it or so they can 'fix' it later, forcing people to come back to re-obtain it so they get more hits still. There's a lot of corruption with the system and it's barely half a year old but there's nothing we can really do about that..
Lol, kinda reminds me of politics..."remember when I promised that l'll fix that street?Well, I was really busy, but if you vote for me again, I promise I'll fix it"....also, I think you meant a "lack of respect", right?
All I know is that the NG Staff doesn't really care whether medals work properly or not. We've made the suggestion to set up a Volunteer Medal Testing Crew to ensure that all medals work appropriately, and yet they still don't care. I don't understand why not either.. I mean it's free for them and it ensures/guarantees 100% satisfaction, efficiency, fairness, and function. But ya, I think I'm done complaining about it. I'm starting to get sick of medals anyways. For all I know I'll hit 20,000 points, feel satisfied with myself, and drop out of the race. I did that awhile back for a month or two.. then I came back though.. Haha
Well, I think that I'll quit only when I can't take any more non-caring...but we can still wait a bit.
Although I agree, having volunteers is a fast, cheap and effective way to solve problems (Olympic games, lol).
Anyways.. ya.. at least this semi-rant was sober.
:D
