I sat and watched his pattern for a while, I think this is it:

He either sweeps the top or bottom of the map.
First he flies past with his mouth closed, and then flies past with his mouth open on the opposite half of the map.

So basically where he had his mouth closed is gonna be safe when he next appears.

In terms of a pattern, yes when his mouth is closed you're safe, and then the next time it'll be open and if you hit him you'll lose all your fairyflies. And the auto-save means that you can't spend your time looking for all the mushrooms/switches/darklings for the last medal. I collected about 15 more mushrooms than the last time I played and had a lower score just because of the timer.

The pattern is simple if you look at it. There are only 2 "levels" the snake can fly across right? And you know that he opens his mouth, than closes it the next time, and then opens it repeating? Well, whatever level he has his mouth closed on, he will have his mouth open on the opposite level. I hope you know what I mean. Just check to see what level his closed mouth is on, and get there.

I hate to tell you, but he goes to the bottom level too. We've already established that.

When the screen starts to shake is where I believe he'll appear at your location (level.) I stood on the end of the middle platform, waitied for the screen to shake, then dropped down to the bottom level, where the blue barrier is located. Missed him that way, but still takes an insane amount of time because I can't even see the freaking Fairyflies. I have to smash my forehead against my LCD monitor just to see the damned things.

I've beaten the game twice now (the boss 3 times) and the last two boss battles i had i never got hit.

I always just jump to whatever platform he was just on. Theres 4 "floors" i guess you can call them, and if he just ran by number 3, i jump to 3. Never noticed the whole mouth closed/mouth open thing but that could be right too.

Oh man that new game is really good looking but l think it will take a lot of time and searching to get all the medals...l still haven't figured out the game mechanics...
Maybe l'll just wait for a WK.

I'm having trouble getting medals that I've earned to show up, even when I go back into the game. I am logged in, though I only just registered. And I went back into the game after logging in, played some more, and got another medal, which still didn't show up.

Is there a place I can report this to get my medals? Or have I been screwed out of my medals on a game forever because I first played it while unregistered?

When you get to the second temple, the one that has a pedestal in the middle of it and a sign that says something about flying, stand on the pedestal and wait a while for the medal to pop up.

I drank a six pack, 5-7 shots of Stolichnaya (i lost count) and one large Sex on the Beach. I thought that might help me play that game for a THIRD time, but no.

Ok now I am pissed I just beat the game with 4 medals and look at that none of them unlocked just liek last time I am done with this glitchy medal system.

I'll have to try for the 100 point medal later on Sunday because I'll be gone at a lake for a party all of tomorrow, too bad I won't be able to have it for the medal rankings list on Sunday.

If you've beat Lastman legit (or at least the boss), you'd have the patience to do it. Anyways, I had to map it out to plan for the 100 point medal. Which I'm thinking will take some effort seeing as I ran through the game as fast as possible (just runestones) and only got like 7k bonus time points. Forgot to time it =(.

Ya, just a simple screenshot stitch. All of the pathways and items, I drew in. I wish I could make it less pixelly, but the map is so huge, any more detail would make it gi-nourmous. Especially if one were to stitch the real bitmaps in. If you guys want I can resize the pic (for those of you in less than 1920x1200 rez) or splice it into several sections or something.

In my first run l got pretty much half of the mushrooms, no switches, half the darklings, half the chests and did it at a pretty slow speed since l explored the map a lot...l got 23,000.
Overall l think that you must forget darkligns since they only give you 1,000 points, and that only if you kill them all...focus on mushrooms and fairies...

They give you 1,00 EACH.
Damn it...l think that you have to kill them all to get this king of score..
15 darkilings x1000 each=15,000 points.That's almost half of the score you need.
176 mushrooms x 100 each=17,600 points.Well, there you have it!
The total these give you is of 32,600 points so you need a 2,400 speed bonus....

I can't find the last mushroom :(
