this is a fun little ninja game with things all ninjas can do :)
when beta testing you don't submit it to the portal. you host it on www.denvish.net/ul or some other website so you can fix it BEFORE submiting it.
BTW it wasn't that good. it froze when i fought the other ninja. the walkings weird, the jumping graphics are really bad, and the blocks you jump on looked too small. It was kinda weird, And the basilisk was a different style then the rest of the game,

choppy movement, bad graphics, and in general, shitty gameplay as well as bad story.

I can tell you worked hard on it sooooo......
1. Improve controls. They are VERY hard to use.
2. Improve animation. Very choppy.
3. Graphics are good, but unless you are making it Mario-ish I don't think random bricks float in the air =)
4. Improve hitTesting, the guy goes through the bricks often.
5. Make the enemies easier to beat.
6. If you hit space while the guy is slashing, he starts to slash again. He should only slash when he is done the motion.
Other than that, good attempt. I couldn't really get past the snake thing.

I fell through the floor when trying to jump up between the walls...I'm not sure what I did but perhaps a combination of landing in the corner and pressing shift and jump had something to do with it. Decent start at least...keep it up!

We had some kid around here for awhile that had the alias phychoninja, which (I'm guessing) was a particularly hilarious misspelling of psychoninja. Good times. =]

Not bad for a start if you put good effort and apply to it then it can probably become a great game. Keep it up :)
The gaem i think was 2 dark and was a bit lagy!
Yeah, sorry my game is a huge file size and thats why it lags a bit, if you like downloaded an .swf it would be about 3 time faster :P

Some changes id like to see
1. multi jump was impossible i finally gave up because of the controls.
2. when i press space i dont want it to auto swing for me i want it to swing when i press the space bar.
3. wall jumping was kinda cool but you should have to press shift or something not have the game do it automatically.
4. pretty much i dont like when games automatically do stuff, and yours is automatically doing alot of stuff, that takes interactiviy out of it.
very good game a few things though
1. make the whole game slower by a little bit, the game just went to fast
2.powerups
3.make the enemies/charater smaller

Okay, for one thing multi-jump is one of the easiest things you can do, second unless you wanna provide some code i have found it almost impossible to make it just as a press for the shift key. Also when you hold spacebar he doesn't swing which is why that happens. And yes there will be power-ups later, also an exp bar stuff like that. The snake is big because it is a Basilisk basically a mythical giant snake, found in Harry Potter The Chamber of Secrets (just as an example) And the human is normal sized so there should be no size issues with that.
Well the code works and does what it is suppost to do and the graphics are enough so that we at least know what were looking at, so whats needed is a little more refining on the gameplay mechanics and graphics/animation. A little more time is all thats needed. Also again, best not to submit test runs like that to newgrounds, tis a waste, cuz the game isn't done. Its nice that your excited and all, but an incomplete game is very disastifying for gamers, which the internet is full of. I commend you on complexity of the game for a firstyish game, however, start with something simpler. Not bad for where its at, but a little more time and effort and it will be nicely refined : )

- Reduce the number of filters, please.
- Convert the vectors to BMP. Bigger space, but less CPU usage.
I don't know how you made that shift thing happen, but you could just set one of the millions of variables you already seem to know how to use.

And if you don't want them controlling anything while you are wall jumping, check if wall jump if false before letting them move.
Or you could actually let the ninja stick to walls and then jump off of them. I bet that would be a lot more popular.

whats BMP? Plus i don't use Booleans for jumping
also if it lags you probably just have a bad computer because it runs really well for me.
yeah seriously, if your computer lagged then you must have a crappy computer/internet

Yah someone agrees withe me also, maybe insted of complaining about how my graphics suck, show me what you want, send me a picture of a ninja and i will be happy to add it because this is the best iv'e got. Also tell me what animations are crappy and choppy tell me which ones because right now i can't improve any of them. You can e-mail me them at brycearoni@san.rr.com
