The Arrest 2007-03-10 08:20:16

This is my BBS story, a sort of fan fiction for the NGPD, if you will. This first post is pretty long, but the rest of the acts are short. This is just to get the story going.

---------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
-

The Captain waltzed in, a song in his heart and a dance in his shoes. "Gooooood morning Alice!" He dropped the pitch for the O's and raised it for the D. "Good...morning,... sir. Uuuhhh," Alice shook her head to get herself back into reality, "I've filed the latest police report for you. That was some work out there, noticing that a repeat spammer slash stealer was in the portal."

"It's my job." Capitan Mike Weigher responded as he walked into his office and closed the door and shades behind him. He sat down at his desk and looked through the paper work for something interesting besides "stick flash blammed" and "hardcore porn is flagged".

Suddenly, Joey Smile burst into the room. "We got a 0415 coming up in a couple minutes!" he breathlessly panted out.

"God, I haven't seen one of those in ages!"

"I know, what has it been, a year? Let's go!" with that, Mike got up as Joey started to leave. Joey was a good officer, a Captain also. He joined a couple weeks before Mike did, but Mike worked hard and eventually caught up and is now a little above Joey in arrests. But even through all that, their still good friends.

Joey and Mike went into the weapon room and donned their armor. "Damn, this vest is getting small. Remind me tell the laudry person to use less starch." Mike commented.

"Remind her to use less starch, or remind you to eat less donuts!" Joke Joey, jumping into his suite.

"Ha ha, very funny. Can you get me that BFB ((see Tail's arsenal)), and an NG SFA-1 ((also ee Tails's arsenal)) with the .45 ACP rounds. Grab whatever you want." Mike said to Joey.

"Damn, I forgot what a 0415 did to us last time. Might want something even bigger than the BFB. But I guess it'll do." Joey said as he handed out the ammo and guns to Mike. "We got all units on this?"

"Hell yeah! EGB even has multiple agents over. They all went through a couple 0415s when they were here, and were here last year when it happened to NG, and even when they were all there things slipped by, mainly the iffy flash that ends up with a 1.4253 and gets a 2 by accident and raises it up to 1.5001. Damn I hate 0415s!" Mike cocked his gun and went out of the building, into the garage where all the vechiles are kept, with Joey tagging behind, cocking his gun as he jogged to catch up with Mike.

"So, what are we taking, the F.U.L.P. , or the Red Katrina?"((do I really need to say where to look for these?)) Joey asked, for he wasn't in charge of missions like these.

"We need quantity, not quality. take the F.U.L.P. I'll be the mini gunner." Mike slung his weapons to his back and put the BFB next to him when he got into the turret. Joey was able to find 6 active users, 5 from the PD and 1 they sent over from the EGB

They went off to the portal, a mere 10 miles from the Headquarters. They sped down the street, sirens blaring, letting people know that there's a 0415 about to be in progress. They pulled up to the portal, and the luggage of people hoped out and stanced up, fingers on triggers, ready to fire at a moments notice.

"You stay in the mini gun turret; I'll get out and work the ground." Mike said to Joey over the intercom.

A police officer looked over at Captain Weigher and, shaking, asked "Captain, is this all we got? Because I've heard of 0415, and they need a lot more men and women than this."

"We're just the first response team. A few others should be coming soon from other countries that are in the afternoon right now, but us late shift workers have to bear the grunt of the flashes." was the grim response from Mike. The officer gulped.

The few movies coming through were mostly blammed, but a few were saved, including a wonderfully done movie about 2 lovers. Then, after a poorly drawn stick figure's text of agony dispersed into the air, there was nothing.

"Are you sure its coming?" Mike didn't look to see where it came from. "Every year it comes, and is going to be here."

Then, a shadow appeared. It bounced out of the bright portal light and into the street. It's face gleamed, but its hands didn't move. A red triangle appeared over its raspberry body and in a computer generated tone, said "FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK FUCK!" and then a massive swarm of other clocks poured through, in hopes of passing under the radar. The air erupted full of shots into the portal, not caring what it hit, because there was nothing but poorly drawn clocks everywhere. A few were spared; either they were good or got lucky and the person assigned to the area they were in was reloading.

Blammed Clocks were everywhere, almost blocking the portal. 2 Red Katrinas passed overheard and fired some missiles into the fray, blowing tens of clocks into the air, flipping into level 1 and 2 users who didn't know what a 0415 was. More troops arrived as more clocks arrived from America.

((to be continued... mainly because this is a long ass post))

No one's reading, eh? Maybe the first chapter is too long, or not enough people around when I posted the first one. I'll bring in Act 2 later tonight

For those new to this story (actually, every one is new), the story so far is that we met Captain Weigher and his partner, Joey Smiley. They get a call that there's a "0415", and get suited up and head out. They get to the portal with a handful of Elite Guard soldiers and Police officers, and thousands of clocks, coming through the portal.

---------------------------------------------
-----------

The guns blazed, bombs went off, clocks quickly were blammed. But some were getting through. No time to turn around, hopefully an officer just arriving to get it. More blammed clocks.

"Damn, they really like to spam!" A new soldier commented.

"No, its Tom's fault for giving them a specific day and a prize for the best one!" Mike yelled back, reloading his SFA-1. Suddenly, a rumbling from the portal. "Ah, shit, it's one of the Collabs! Fall back!" was the order given by Mike, and every one ran into the F.U.L.P., cramming in. Mike got to drive, and Joey stayed in the turret. Mike backed up, letting Joey shot the turret at the massive Collab, which scattered other clocks across the ground.

Mike swerved from left to right, trying to avoid getting stepped on. "We need fucking planes out here! Get me some fucking planes!" 2 more of the 3 Collabs appeared half a mile in each direction, blocking the rising sun and blamming more clocks. BFB fired from the gun ports, and a few brave Red Katrinas shot missiles. Nothing had an effect on them.

"We can't let them past the boundary!" Mike yelled, and stopped on the Judgment Line. Every was ordered to stand here.

"Here, we make a stand. We show that the Clock Crew isn't better then the NGPD, nor the EGB. Here, we show good flashes, good games, good movies. We don't want spam like this. It makes us, us look bad. It says we're not doing our job. Now, I want you to shoot everything you got at them!" Mike's speech had an effect on the troops, as they weren't afraid any more. Mike leaned over to Joey, "I didn't think it would work. I just said whatever was on the top of my head." To this, Joey laughed, and fired everything he had at the beast.

Others along the Judgment Line also got the speech over their head sets, and continued to fire.

Mike, seeing that the weapons were having little effect on the Collab, he ran towards it. "What the fuck are you doing?!" Joey yelled, hoping that could get Mike to stop.

"Going into the heart!"

"Well then, wait for me!" Joey caught up to Mike. "No, go back!"

"We're friends Mike, and if you die, I die. Now let's kill that mother fucker!"

Well, for all you non-readers out there, I want to post Act 3 of my un-read story.

So far, Mike and Joey have been battling a 0415, a mass spamming of the portal. A huge collab comes out from the portal, forcing Mike and his men to retreat to the Judgment Line. Mike gets an idea to try to scale the 60-foot tall creature, and gets help from Joey.

Mike and Joey sprinted towards the Collab.

“What were you planning on doing?” Joey yelled to Mike

“No clue! But I was thinking about climbing it!” Mike responded, taking a couple of Clocks out with his SMG.

“Like Shadow of the Colossus?” Joey questioned.

“I guess. Watch out!” Mike pushed Joey out of the way as the massive foot came down, almost crushing them both. They got up, cursed, and ran after the fused clocks. Mike and Joey were able to catch up with it, and hang on when it stopped to smash a F.U.L.P. Mike grabbed his knife and scale the right leg, while Joey was on the left.

Using fruits, vegetables, precious gems, and house hold products, the team of friends slowly worked their way up to the back, where they were able catch their breath on a ledge.

“It’s as if they were meant to be climbed, these Collabs.” Mike said. “How did we take them out last time?” Joey asked.

“We hit them with everything. They came in the beginning, so we had a lot of ammo to take them out. Plus there was only one of them.” Mike responded as he looked for a good place to continue his ascent up the Collab.

“Oh yeah. I remember now. How about here?” Joey dug his knife in and began to climb, getting a couple feet off the ledge before Mike followed. Mike and Joey got to with in 10 feet of the shoulder.

Joey reached up to grab an Orange, when the Strawberry and Emerald supporting his feet each gave out, and so did the Orange, leaving Joey clinging to his knife.

The falling Clocks headed for Mike. Mike dodged the Emerald and Strawberry, but got hit with the Orange, making his feet loose their grip.

Well, in the last Act, Mike and Joey began to scale the massive 60 foot tall combination of Clocks called a Collab. Joey lost his footing, sending Clocks down to make Mike loose his footing.
---------------------------------------------
---------
“Shit!” Mike yelled in unison with Joey. Mike grunted as he regained his footing, and climbed under Joey.

“Joey! I’m going to push your feet up with my shoulders, and I want you to find some foot holds! Do you understand?” Mike yelled up to Joey. A scared “Yes!” was all that was replied.

Mike pulled himself up a little higher, and setting his knife a foot above Joey’s feet, Mike pushed with everything he had. Joey rose up, and got a hand hold, then 1 foot found a place. They continued to climb.

Joey reached the shoulder of the Collab, and a minute later, so did Mike. They stood there, measuring how far the Judgment Line was. It wasn’t very.

Mike went a head of Joey when they began to climb the head. This was very annoying to the Collab, and it showed it. The Collab shook his head, hoping to fling the Clock Climbers from its massive body of Clocks.

Mike and Joey hung for dear life. The Collab stopped shaking, thinking that the Police Captains were off. They waited a minute, then continued up. Mike got to the top of the dome, and waited for Joey. Still no Joey. Mike looked down. No Joey on the side of the head.

“Ah shit. Joey! Where are you!”

No response.

“Joey!”

Nothing.

Mike looked back, and say the mangled body of his partner on the ground, 60 feet below him. “fuck.” Mike murmured, falling into a sitting position on the Collab’s skull. Mike suddenly got very angry. He yelled “YOU FUCKING BASTARD, YOU KILLED MY BEST FUCKING FRIEND!” and with that, shot 3 anti-matter shots from the BFB, and 67 plasma bolts into the skull at point blank range, causing the Collab to die instantly.

Mike rod the thing down, running to the back of the skull and neck to avoid being thrown off. At the last second, Mike jumped, hoping to avoid the massive shock wave sent through the Collab’s body. Mike rolled as he landed on the dry sand of the edge of the portal. He breathed heavily, in and out, in and out, as he stood by what had killed his best friend.

More Clocks were blammed, and only 1 of the Collabs out of the 3 made it by, and even then the Collab was so terrible wounded that it got lost in time with a score of 1.76 out of 5. Mike got into the F.U.L.P. and drove off with 7 other strangers, back to the Newgrounds Police Headquarters.
---------------------------------------------

Last Act of Chapter 1. Chapter 2 is soon to fallow

Not too shabby at all... a bit blankety-blank for my tastes in the dialogue, but pretty imaginative, and adaptive to the theme of Blamming and Protecting.

Had you thought of sharing this with a writer's crew?

No, but I just did. Thanks for the idea, my good friend, and bumping this.
