Yes, today was my birthday, and I feel old.
Very old. And tired.
I decided to have a 48 hour anime/movie marathon with friends starting Friday to celebrate it. It was fun for the first 24, but the other half was pretty dull. One can only watch Hellsing and the Hannibal Lecter films so many times before being able to recite dialog verbatim.
The food made the marathon fun, we had chicken, ribs and several bags of chips. Not to mention a couple cans of Jolt each and several litres of three or four different sodas.
I got plenty in the way of presents, vols. 6 and 7 of Ranma 1/2 (which I read immediatly), "1000 Films To Change Your Life" (amazing list with great descriptions of each film), Law & Order: Criminal Intent - The Second Year (which I'm watching as I type this), vol. 9 of Death Note (which was a total mindfuck at four in the morning), Silence of The Lambs (which was very fun to watch with a group of people who hadn't slept since Thursday), The Return of Lum: Urusei Yatsura (epic win), $85 (for books and other eccentricites), a bag of Maynard's Wine Gums (make my jaws ache, but taste great), some macadamia nuts (my favorite snack) and a guitar-shaped CD tower (which took eleven minutes to fill).
Also, I had the greatest cake ever....
