AS: Main, Your No. 1 Flash Reource! NOW REOPENED!!!
Right than. Do you guys know the Webcam Games section on Newgrounds? Pretty cool, ain't it? Actually being able to place yourself in the game using your trusty Webcam. Would you like to learn how to actually use your Webcam in Flash and put yourself in that new game your making? Well than, you have come to the right place.
The first thing you need to do is make a new keyframe and put the following code in that frame:
c = Camera.get();
webCam.attachVideo(c)
What that does is tells Flash to find your Webcam. Next, open the Library and click on the top-right button, than click on New Video. A new item should appear in your library. Drag it onto the stage. And now, the hardest step. Give it an instance name of webCam. To do this, click on the item and, in the Properties Panel, where it says Instance: type in webCam
And, if you can believe it, we are done! Test your movie (Ctrl+Enter) and you should see yourself in Flash.
