I haven't been around much lately. Unfortunately, due to a full-time job and three kids, that isn't going to change in the near future. I assist as an audio mod, and maintain D0GMA's BP Ranks list, but I'll be passing the latter over to the deserving AfroStud (aka he of many names) before long, having been updating it for nearly a year. I apologise for my past and future absence from the forums, and I really do appreciate the respect and, dare I say it, love, that has been shown to me by this community.

Don't get me wrong, I won't be deserting NG totally: it has been responsible for getting me a job that pays a decent wage to make Flash games, and for that I am extremely thankful. I will still be around occasionally, and hopefully enough to prevent Wade from demodding me for security reasons, but browsing the forums all day is no longer an option.

While I'm making this post, I would like to thank a few people for being cool. If you're not on here, then I may well just not have remembered to put you in... I am a geriatric, after all. THIS IS THE CLAUSE THAT SAYS 'THANKS!' TO ALL THE PEOPLE I HAVEN'T NAMED INDIVIDUALLY.

Firstly, of course, the admins:

Tom: I owe you much. Since I discovered Newgrounds back in 2003, it's changed my life - from submitting movies and games just for the pleasure of getting feedback and exposure, to actually helping get me a job doing something I enjoy. Thank you.
liljim: I would still like to meet up with you at some point. Hopefully one of these days both of us can find the spare time.
Wade: I wouldn't say we have a close relationship, but I respect the work you put in to trying to make NG a better place, more often than not fighting against resistance all the way. Have a bong =D

The Mod team: Lost track of how long I've been a mod now, but there's no member of the mod team that I dislike. I was going to list them, but basically the entire lot are fucking great, so there's not much point.

Wi/Ht: My first home on the BBS, specifically D0GMA's 51+ Ranks thread. Don't diss Wi/Ht, it contains some of the most helpful people on NG. Plus, the stat-whores (I include myself amongst these). Anyway, these people have been magnificent, each in their own way:

Flash:Probably my biggest NG regret currently is the fact that I had to withdraw from the Flash forum, and eventually ask for AS: Main to be locked. There was a great sense of community and fun in there, and although there will always be those who knock others down to make themselves seem bigger. I'm happy to see that Tyler (Glaiel-Gamer) and John (jmtb02) are pulling the community together and inspiring Flashers and forum-goers alike to better things. Respect goes out to:

Bob is a great fellow. I remember when i first met him...

I was hiking in Switzerland, this was shortly after my life changing chess match against Piconjo. Whist at the top of the Matterhorn a blizzard suddenly came upon me.

Myself and my conrade McGyver seeked shelter so using chewing gum, a paperclip and left over faeces from a mountain goat McGyver created a crude rocket and flew us to safety. Howver there were no materials we found that could of possibly made a suitable parachute and so MyGyver and I were sent into assorted location from our makeshift rocket exploded in mid-flight.

I awoke in a daze in Austria, greeted by a man. His name was Bob. He allowed me to search for my lost companion McGyver as accompanied me. Whilst in Vienna I was in trouble so I couldn't enter the Swiss border without the Austrian army assaulting me.
But Bob, the talent and wise man he was distracted the border guards at the border with his exquisite violin skills.

Shortly afterwards we had found McGyver. McGyver thanked Bob.

I agree with you. There are some of the most helpful people on NG I know that go to that forum (Afro_Stud can be too helpful, however :P).

Thanks for mentioning me. I remember posting in the Wi/Ht for the first time and saw people like you who were being nice to me. I'd like to give a big thank you for giving me a warm welcome to the Wi/Ht which has become my favourite forum on the NG BBS.
