How's everyone else feel about their rank? Satisfied, unsatisfied? What is the lowest rank you could handle plateauing out at?

I wish mine were higher but to much time spent on the portal turns ya to the dark side you soon get obessed withs blams and protects and the you want to blam everything in sight your so drunk with your power.

... evil? Did you bother to look at my blam/protects? I've got 1.24 times as many protects as blams, how can that be evil? Heck, I've probably got one of the highest ratios of saves to blams of anyone with 1500+ points. #;-}>

And as for power hungriness, come on now. You can use your power for protection just as easily as blamming, just look at me.

It's pretty tough going. Every time I look at the entries deleted/total entries for the previous day, I cringe and think "look at all the blam points I missed out on!", but somehow as I'm voting, I just naturally accrue more saves than blams. Still, I consider myself firmly in the neutral aura.

Hey hey, congrats. I joined the Elita Guard around 2 in the morning today. Feels good, though my points are about in the reverse order as yours; about twice as many blams as saves.

I hope to one day crack the top 50, but that's a pretty lofty goal. I may just call it good when I reach 3,000. But, we'll see.

Well, it works as an incentive to watch new movies, and increases your voting power so that movies you like can stay on and movies you hate have a better chance of being voted off.

I kinda like captain because he controls everyone lower then him in the cop ring. The elite guard's are loners. Sure they are strong, but 15 security guards could take 1 elite down. and when I hit captain I can just send all the cops after the elite...whoops I said the plan out loud*eats suicide pill*...ehgerumnnnnnmnn*bang*.

Huh? Say what? Whaaaaa?

1) while trying to get ahead in the blam/protect ranks can be competitive with fellow ng users if you want it to be (and then again, so can simple experience and popularity), blams and protects are a cooperative effort between many users monitoring the portal. You have to work together with people you can't see or contact directly to decide what's crap and what's good. It's more like little mini elections going on every few minutes than it is like a conflict or war.

and 2) helloooooo? There are protect points, too. Not everyone is out there just blamming everything, geez.

Hmmm... if you say so... I don't see the elite guard as loners, but I'm ranked at 125 as of last night (maybe around 120 now), so if there's only ~120 elite guard out of 268,560 users... and we assume for the hell of it (though I bet it's more) that all but around 1200 of the userbase is still at civilian (when I was safety patrol about 6 months ago, it seems my rank was around 1000, and it's probably grown since then)... then there's around a ratio of around 1200/120 police to elite guard. 10:1. Not a huge majority, but you may be right. We could easily be picked off one by one if we don't band together.
