Something that Newgrounds should do

As a flash artist I find the audio library to be a spectacular resource. Music improves flash dramatically and makes it far more enjoyable. However, a similar system could be applied to sound effects. There are sections in the audio portal for VG music and such, but what would be even more useful to people like myself would be a library where sound effects could be catalogued. Usually I find that I end up being stuck with going to flashkit.com or findsounds.com or searching endlessly for some other site that will meet my needs, but I think if Newgrounds were to adopt this idea it would be an incredible asset and that the populace of newgrounds would be far more likely to be able to fulfill those audio needs than the idiots at flashkit who blow into mics for gun sounds and then put "Demo only, not for commercial use" in the comments.

Yeah, it'd be a good idea, for sure. Only problem I can see is that you might get people like the Barney Bunch submitting 'screamer' sound effects or annoying duds, but I guess if they allow users to blam that sort of stuff, it'd be a great idea.

and you would have to pass a screening similiar to the one of the audio portal.

A new section of the portal perhaps. I'm not saying a whole new system, the system upon which the audio portal runs is actually quite perfect for what I'm suggesting, but of course sounds themselves would have their own different varieties and areas.

Similar concerns have been raised in regards to the audio portal. I really don't think that there will be much abuse there.

You don't really actually have to give credit for anything ever, it's just a good and considerate thing to do. Usually I give credit in the author comments or in credits at the end of a movie. And I don't think that people would want to have to download twelve sounds when all they really want is the one.

Perhaps set up a different idea, where you can blam or protect sound effects? That way, it avoids having the same thing being submitted over and over again.
