More Levels More Audience

Hello fellow Newgrounders!

Everyone have we heard about the rants for more levels and so on, but I'm about to tell you something about this.

The level system was (As the blam/save point system) made to get more internet users to stay here on Newgrounds.

More people watch the portal to get a higher amount of blam and save points, the authors are getting more attention to their work.

We want mostly experienced users to be on the portal, giving their opinion and their help to new and experienced flash artists as the newest Newgrounds member actually lack on this.

Through making more levels, less people will stop depositing when they get to level nine and we will get more active users with alot of experience.

If you allow me to make one example, the audio portal do not have as many listeners as the flash portal got viewers also because there ain't a leveling or rank system made of voting on audio submissions.

Not even reviews given to audio is displayed in the profile.

So if Newgrounds wants more members with concrete proposals and lot of experience, who'll also result in more money for the administrators, then making some extra levels wouldn't hurt.

Hmm, thats a pretty good point in regards to the audio section. I was going to start visiting there as thats what im more interested in.

yeah, and they dont show our fav songs in the audio portal, nor our fav audio artists.

Did you ever read the first post?

It ain't about challenge or not, but about that people loose hope when they suddenly will have to wait almost four months till they'll get to the next level.

That's why so many people become inactive when they reach level nine.

With more levels between, less people would stop depositing but continue to visit the site.

We need more levels - I agree - the level requirements are becoming outragously high...

most ng users don even care about lvls or stats. so many people sign up here every day and vote regardless, s o idont think the admins really care. if they were having traffic problems they would change teh systm.

i would agree that more levels would be needed when an abundance of people reach lever 27 or so,but right now there are only a few hundred(if that many) that are that high.

also i agree that the Audio Portal needs to be redone more like the Flash portal.allow for favorite songs/artists and the reviews to be counted...along with a SEPARATE exp voting system.(as in a whole new set of levels ranging from 1 to 30,or maybe 1 to 15 would make more since)

OR it's because this is a flash site, and that is it's purpose. The purpose of the audio portal is to give free, original music to flash artists to use in their flash. It's not meant to have the same amount of traffic as the flash portal since the main audience of the audio portal is meant to be flash artists looking for new music to use. Yes, it is also for musicians to showcase their music, but the main purpose is for flash artists to use the music by other users.

The percentage of ng users that actually vote, deposit, and care about their level is extrememly small compared to the percent that come to just see flash
