Maybe.

But you can't see reviews of a movie that's under jugdement to after you vote anyway.

If this movie is protected you will get a PROTECTION point!

Response to voting on movies 2005-08-15 12:36:44

you'll notice its only on movies under review.

i'm sure this is to make things more fair for everyone, so you vote how YOU feel on it :D

I bet it could be to combat improper voting... If I notice that the shittiest flashes are passing judgement at 3.0 when they should be a .3 flash, if I want b/p points I'll go ahead and vote 2 or higher and every flash. Keeping the current score hidden for right now hides the fact that this is the trend in the portal right now.

It's crap when you dont see the score. It's just not the same if you dont see the impact of your votes.

yeah but it only showed you the score after you had voted anyway. mebbe the admin made it so alll movies today get protected and put into the clockday 2005 collection automaticly or somehting because all movies today are getting protected so it's no use to NG to hav ppl voting them. mebbe u just get a protection point if you vote a movie :s

Yeah, this is the conclusion I came up with, but I'll scour the BBS to see if there are any other explanations.

Is this mainly for clockday to make sure everything gets protected? I guess it makes sense because everyone is afraid to blam if they can't tell how good a movie is doing. This will be gone tomorrow though right?? I hate not knowing wether i was right or not about a certain blam/prottect and having to track it down to see wether or not its in the obituaries.

Someone once asked me why I call myself Unimportant. Simple, I said. As a nihilist, that's what I see everyone and everything as. In the end, we are all Unimportant.

Your right, basicly all this is ,is just some little celebration of the 5th anniversary of the clock crew. Hard to belive this all started with a submission with just the letter B on it. Then somehow bam it sprung like a weed. So it should be over with tommorow . I cant wait untill this day is over , not that i have anything against clocks or anything..just a little tooo many clock movies.

Well if it's just making everyone afraid to BLAM stuff then I can honestly say I hope it stays like that for good. You should only blam if there isn't jack shit for effort put into movies. All too often you blam happy idiots scare off authors with great potential to become good because you want your precious blam points.

Response to voting on movies 2005-08-15 18:09:38

Why would you be scared to blam a movie? I've blammed a dozen so far, you know why. Cause they suck, I don't care if a clock made it they just suck. There are some good movies like renegade 1 that deserve a 5.

your right about the ramagi's score thing, but, most of those movies deserve a blam.
Plus theres too many movies and are making my computer screw things up.
We need to even things out a bit.

Actually if anything, your experience and B/P need to be reset to 0. I hope wade sees this and does so you blam happy moron. Newgrounds is about flash, it won't work if you scare away potentilly good authors by blamming stuff that's at least half-decent just because they have "clock" in their name. A single graphical or sound anamoly doesn't mean the movie sucks either, but it seems many of you idiots will vote 0 just for that when you'd normally vote 5. I think there needs to be voting mods. Gfox would be an excellent choice, he doesn't like blam happy morons such as yourself.

they were doing tht because of clock day i think
