Why Decline? 2005-07-29 22:40:38

Why are the decline of videogaming flashes at the very top of the portal? They dont seem to showcase great animation skills; just tweens. And the story is just about a couple of kids sitting on their asses playing vieogames all day. I think things such as dad 'n me, or bitey of brackenwood, should occupy the top of the top 50.

i dont think it is so much graphics as it is animation skills. people like the decline movies because they are funny and the author(s) have a good rep. if you have a good rep your movie (whether good or bad) will too most probably

There a little funny, but I still don't think that should be a reason for them to be up top. Iv'e seen flashes as funny as decline get blammed.

well, i dont really know what to say other than its the peoples decision.. so far i havent figured out you complicated humans so there ^_^
(btw, refering to last post, i'm not against any of their animations)

No you havn't. There animation is actually getting fairly good. Now they have alot more FBF and thay have a good art style. Very different. And yes, they are funny. You can argue that. 3 was not that funny, but the other declines were great. good voice acting, good mini games, nice art, good humour is what makes them good.

Tweening takes hours of work, maybe not that much talent, but still a lot of work. And besides most people don't care how an animation was made, they just care about the results.

heh,decline is great. the tweens always go smooth,and the storyline and bgs are great.
you can;t decline that decline is awsome.it even does the things where they show flashbacks,like on family guy.sorry to disagree with you man. but the super flash bros,and double helix.just make it work.

I'll break down the ingrediants of Decline:

*Great animating (both tweens and FBF)
*Excellent script
*Good humour
*Excellent actionscripting
*Great graphics

Now, why shouldn't it be at the top of the portal?

That's true. Remember stuff like Dad's home, which got a lot of good votes and climbed up to the first postition in the top 50. It moved a lot down since, and moved back to the middle of the list. I think now it's around 10th though, but it usually do that. The same will probably happen to Dad n me too.

i've got to agree, the decline flashes are good but, not better than everthing on newgrounds. there is a TON of stuff in the portal that beat the asses off of decline any day.

Right now theres 3 SFB flashes in the top 4.. they deserve it all.

Decline 3 has about .30 more than the second place flash too, which is also theirs!

i kind of agree, but since its so famous because of other flash they made. in my opinon i think Decline 3 should not be in the top first.
