I'm not noew i was wondering how you make the colors in a movie look good. I used the "linear" cohice on the color mixer but it's only goes to custom color and fades out into white,i want to have two differnet colors combined to make like a shadow looking color

It may be slightly different for MX 2004, but hopefully this explanation on gradients should help you:

You can create your own gradients on the Fill Panel. To do this, on the Fill Style bar choose either linear or radial gradient. There will then be two different colours in little house shaped boxes below the Edit Gradient Range bar. To change the colours in these boxes, use the Colour Mixer and to add any more colours into the gradient click on an empty space on the Edit Gradient Range bar. You can also move the house shaped boxes (name anyone?) to adjust how much of each colour will be in the gradient. To make any of the colours transparent/translucent, you can adjust the Alpha on the Colour Mixer too.
