This is true, I submit movies for feedback and eventually to possibly get recognised, wade and tom are providing me that service of thousands of views for FREE, Newgrounds is genius!

It's just that I disagree with your copyright/ownership issues and misuse of advertisement. It's more of a business now and less of showing off your work. If people want to get famous for their flashes, they just submit demos to companies like everyone else...At least they still 'own' it.

Jeez man, you DO deserve to be called a moron.
Regardless of what the submission agreement may or may not suggest - if you submit your work to Newgrounds and happen to get hugely famous over it, then decide you want your work to ONLY be available on your own (or some other) website...all you have to do is ASK and your submissions will be removed from Newgrounds. They need to have all that legal-speak in the submission agreement so THEY don't get screwed; it ISN'T about trying to pull a fast one on the artists. You still own your own fucking work. There have already been artists that used NG as a platform to get big, and then they jumped ship and took their submissions with them once they got their own thing going. Some could see that as fucked-up thing to do, but still, it isn't like Tom said "AHAHAHA NOOOOO I OWN YOUR FLASH NOW AHAHAHA" The artist is always in control of their own work.
Tom has had to deal with enough asshole companies to know exactly how not to be one. Even though due to the agreements etc. he might be legally entitled to forever keep and/or manipulate any submissions sent in...he isn't a dickhead, so there isn't anything to worry about.

Tom had to pay laywers to come up with that shit just to protect his own ass. It doesn't mean he's going to hold anyone to it. We have had users sell the exclusive rights to their Flash to other companies and have removed their work from our site.
There have been many people who have used Newgrounds.com to get exposure, get their work picked up, and then pull everything off Newgrounds.com.
Other people are already successful and put their work on Newgrounds.com to send even more traffic to their already popular websites. Such as miniclip, the weeble, etc.
Some of these guys make Flash professionally for other sites and put examples of their wok on Newgrounds.com to get traffic back to their site in hopes of picking up clients.
The bulk of our entries are non-professional Flash entries done by people who just enjoy making Flash projects and want to share them with as many people as possible. They aren't looking to make a living out of it, they just enjoy it and enjoy the feedback.
