For 3D, most people use a program called Swift 3D
When you have made your 3D object on there it lets you import it into flash.

Or some people use what i'd like to call "cardboard 3d". It involves tweening parts of an object in such a way that it looks 3d. This technique is used in submissions such as Pico Reloaded (the bus and picos guns in some scenes). its cheap and effective when used right.

You can achieve 3d effects like the other guys said! Here's a coin I amde this is made by Tweening the face and the shadow behind seperatly! My snial however is frame by frame!

You can make the rotating coin more convincing by using "ease in" and "ease out"

for example:

O >tween ease in -100> --
-- >tween ease out 100> O

the O and -- representing the coin :)

Yea Thanks I used ease originally But as I want this coin in my movie falling thorugh the air the non eased spin actually looked better!

Easing however is incredibly useful! Here's a project i'm working on which isnt 3d but it appear remotely so! HERE!
