MAGFest Wrap-Up

I'm back from MAGFest after having a great weekend with tons of great people! I intended to come back with a group shot of roughly 30 artists from NG and I FAILED. Frustrating because pics like that are really fun to look back on over the years. If anyone took pictures, please post them in this thread!

MAGFest is the Music and Gaming Festival in DC, although it should change itself to the Music, Animation and Gaming Festival; the acronym would still work. I hosted a Newgrounds panel with Stamper, RicePirate and Spazkid, no clue if anyone filmed it but it should make for entertaining viewing if someone did.

I had a blast! It was awesome meeting everyone! Not many pictures were taken but me, Cromagg, MrChambers, and Stejkrobot took one photo before we all parted ways yesterday. I also think Flikkernicht took some photos, but hasn't posted them online yet.

Yea same here. Good to see familiar faces and new faces pop up and represent the site. This sort of festival seems to suit NG the best out of all the ones we've done in the past i think. Feels like its small enough to not be overwhelming like Comic Con but not small enough to feel ghetto like Big Apple Con that one year.

Any thoughts on making your own convention, Tom? And if the project's too big for NG alone, would collaborating with other sites help? I know ScrewAttack's convention is pretty popular, so that's why I asked.

That would've been nice to know beforehand :\ I consider NG a force unto itself... just hope there's some sort of meet-up in the near future, preferably at the NG offices or at least nearby. So it was a cozy event, eh? The event schedule seemed kinda low brow, to an old, unproducing goat like me, but I trust the attendees transcended that, and useful discourse did take place...

I can only speculate. I've never been to Magfest before, every year it comes up, it falls like on weekends when im somewhere else. But I've always have heard positive things about it.

Just saying that I didn't go to magfest due to money constraints, i messaged you twice about it but I understand you were probably really busy with everyone else who did go to magfest. Maybe next year Tom!

P.S. I heard the newgrounds panel was super informative from my friends who did manage to go to magfest
